SathyabamaBlack
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
This policy explains how the SathyabamaBlack website handles information when you visit the launch page or use its interest button.
What we collect
The interest feature creates a random browser identifier. We do not ask for names, student IDs, email addresses, passwords, or contact details. Standard hosting logs may temporarily include technical information such as request time, browser type, and IP address for security and service operation.
Why we collect it
The random identifier helps prevent duplicate submissions from the same browser. If the shared counter is enabled, it also supports an aggregate interest total. It is not used as your name or student identity.
Storage and retention
Your browser stores the random identifier and your local interest choice. When the shared counter backend is enabled, the identifier and count are stored in a server-side Redis database. Records are retained only while needed to operate the interest feature and protect it from duplicate or abusive submissions.
Sharing and third-party services
We do not sell personal information. Hosting and data-storage providers may process the limited technical data needed to operate the website. Their handling is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Cookies
The interest feature does not require advertising or tracking cookies. It uses browser local storage to remember the random identifier and your selection on that device.
Your choices
You can clear this site’s local storage through your browser settings. Clearing local storage removes the identifier from that browser, but it may not remove a previously submitted server record because the identifier is no longer available to match it.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect the service. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Policy changes
This policy may change when the website or its data practices change. The updated date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
